Mad Cow Comedy presents Solos at the Shed; a series of great solo shows in the most intimate of venues! On Friday 22nd May, join us for "Silver Living" by Utrecht-based comedian Frank Buytendijk.
About the Show:
Frank, a very Dutch dad, shares how he’s coping with everything that just keeps happening to him; from his love of ear-splitting minimal techno and tattoos to battling hormones (not his own!). Somehow, he always finds a silver lining. He looks nice and sweet… but watch out, because out of nowhere, he’ll strike mercilessly.
The show will be hosted by Mad Cow Comedy's Rachel Morton-Young and include a guest warm-up act.
About Frank:
While most fifty-somethings decide to hop on a motorcycle and try skinny jeans again, Frank took to the stand-up stage to share his own vision of life. He leads a hectic life, but does he really understand it all?
Frank has performed all over the world. From Tokyo International Comedy Club and Lucky Punch in Munich, to Eastville Comedy Club in New York. From the Edinburgh Fringe and London to Kochi in India and Sydney, Australia. From Dinxperlo to Antwerp, no journey is too far for him; his audience is everywhere.
Frank was a semi-finalist at the renowned Laughing Buddha Comedy Festival in New York, and a finalist at the Limburg Cabaret Festival and Let’s Make Comedy. He's also performed multiple times at the Utrecht International Comedy Festival.
Practical Information:
- The show takes place at de Schuur ("the Shed") a cosy private theatre close to the Louis Hartlooper at Ledig, Erf, Utrecht.
- Doors open: 19:30, Showtime: 20:00
- Running time: approx 2 hours (including a break)
- Drinks will be available before the performance and during the break
- Recommended age: 16+
- Space is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment
