Stand with us on Women's Equality Day! Let's celebrate the strides we've made and our dedication to continue the work. Stand with other supporters of women's rights from 5 to 6 p.m. on South Street, across from Bronson Park.We will gather in front of City Hall, and hope to have a line of demonstrators ifrom Park Street to Rose Street. Signs should be brief and focus on women's equality and women's rights.
The demonstration ends at 6 p.m., and participants are invited to a meeting in First Presbyterian Church's Gathering Place, where we will introduce and discuss the League's Unite and Rise 8.5 campaign.
Note on parking: street parking is available on South St., Lovell St., and many other convenient spots.
Note on signs: Signs should be nonpartisan and focus on rights that we need to protect or to gain for women. Examples:
Ratify the ERA
Protect Reproductive Rights
Women Need Childcare
Women Need Safe Homes
Women's Rights are Human Rights!
