Discover the art of stained glass in a welcoming, hands-on class led by guest artist Taylor McDarison of Arttaysia, LLC. This special 6-hour Stained Glass Lotus Class is designed for all experience levels—no prior glasswork needed. Over three sessions in May or June, you’ll learn every step of creating a stunning 3D lotus flower, from your very first glass cut to the final, polished piece. When you book, choose the number of glass colors, and the artist will personally reach out to help pick your favorite hues—so you can enjoy a creative experience tailored just for you! With expert guidance and a supportive atmosphere, you’ll build confidence and skills as you craft a beautiful work of art to take home. All materials are provided. Just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
What you’ll learn:
- How to safely cut and shape stained glass
- Techniques for grinding glass to achieve a precise fit
- Applying copper foil to each piece
- Soldering it all together, including adding a hook for display
- Washing and finishing your stained glass project
3-Day Class Schedule:
- Dates: Sat & Sun May 23, 24 & 30 or June 20, 21 & 27
- Time: 10am to 12pm each day
- Day 1: Cut glass pieces for your lotus pattern.
- Day 2: Smooth pieces to perfection with the grinder.
- Day 3: Foil pieces, solder together, wash, and finish.

A ticket for the first day reserves all 3 class dates. Tickets are per project, not per person. Partners welcome! Refunds not available for workshops. If you are unable to attend after booking, we offer a one-time transfer to a different day, or for select projects you can pick up your materials and instruction as a Take and Create Kit. Liability waiver must be signed before beginning any projects. Must be age 18+ to participate.
