STAHLS’ Power Play for Heroes kicks off with our 8th annual Detroit Red Wings Alumni vs. Team STAHLS’ charity hockey game on Friday, November 15, 2024.
Team STAHLS’ will face off against the Detroit Red Wings Alumni with doors opening at 7:00PM. Notable Red Wings Alum include four-time Stanley Cup Champion Darren McCarty. Also playing for Team Stahls' is Brad Galli WXYZ channel 7 news sports anchor. Al Sobotka former NHL Zamboni driver will also be on hand to toss some octopie. Special guest, Steve Carlson, one of the iconic Hanson Brothers from the cult classic movie Slapshot will be in attendance.
Tickets can be purchased online and children 10 and under are free. All proceeds benefit Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, pairing Michigan veterans with individually trained medical service dogs. Local veterans will be honored on the ice before the game.
Fans will have the chance to purchase Detroit Red Wings Alumni memorabilia and apparel, auction items. Attendees can also take photos with the notable Ted Lindsay trophy or replica Stanley Cup. Photo opportunity with Steve Carlson will be available after the first period. Participate in 50/50 and gift basket raffles, as well as face painting. BBQ Daddy will be on hand serving food, adult beverages will be available and full items at the rink concession stand. Bring the family to our fun filled event.
