St Wite is Dorset's Patron Saint and her Holy Shrine is embedded in the north wall of St Candida and the Holy Cross Church in Whitchchurch Canonicorum. It has been a site of pilgrimage for over 1,000 years. To celebrate her Saint's Day on the 1st June, which is also Dorset Day, the church that is home to her Shrine is holding a special Celebration Service at 6pm on Sunday 31st May - all are welcome especially the band of merry pilgrims who will walk from St Mary's, Bridport through Hell (Lane) to join us.
