Join World Wide Technology for Hour of Code!
Hosted by World Wide Technology in St. Louis, MO, this free event features hands‑on exercises from Code.org. Participants will have the opportunity to complete one‑hour coding and AI basics activities, interact with WWT employees and explore the exciting fields of cybersecurity, IT, AI development, and more in an engaging environment.
Cyber Range is a Capture the Flag (CTF) lab designed to teach fundamental cybersecurity skills. Participants navigate a virtual world while solving challenges such as network scanning and cryptographic cipher decoding. The lab reinforces essential cyber skills, demonstrating how information is discovered and why small oversights can become security risks. It provides a Windows 10 virtual machine with tools like Powershell and Zenmap. This lab is ideal for those new to cybersecurity, offering hints and a structured learning environment. The event will include:
- Snacks and beverages
- Free parking
- Giveaways for the participants
Ticket Information:
- Each student requires a ticket; parents and guardians do not need a ticket.
- Parents/Guardians should put in their name, email address, and phone number at the top of the order form.
- Families will receive one confirmation from Eventbrite for all tickets ordered.
- Parents and guardians are asked to stay on site for the duration of the event.
