Who Should Attend?
This one-day conference is designed for claimant and defendant clinical negligence lawyers of all seniority, and will be focusing on claims arising from care in the Emergency Department.
What can you expect from the dayOur team are hosting a seminar for claimant and defendant clinical negligence lawyers of all seniority on 6th November 2024, at St George’s Hall in Central Bristol. This year’s theme is 24 hours in the Emergency Room, looking at medicolegal issues arising out of Emergency Medical Care.
The conference, kindly sponsored by , will feature talks and panel discussions from our specialist barristers at St Johns Chambers, as well as from expert clinicians in emergency medicine and spinal surgery. There will be insights on recent and upcoming developments in Emergency Care, including case law, quantum updates and consideration of Martha’s Law, discussion of , a look at duty of care in the emergency department, and practical tips on expert evidence.
We will conclude with a panel session on alternative dispute resolution in clinical negligence cases, discussing tactics and personal experiences of JSMs and roundtable meetings, mediation and the Welsh Redress scheme, followed by a drinks reception made possible by PIC.
The proceeds of this year’s conference charity raffle will go to the (GWAAC) which provides invaluable emergency care to people in a
critical state who need the specialist skills of the team at the scene of the
accident or incident.
