St. Jarlath’s PSG are organising a fundraising hike of one of Ulster’s most popular mountains.A huge thank you to everyone who has expressed their interest in our fundraiser so far. Your support, ideas and enthusiasm made it clear that this fundraiser has the potential to be something really special for our school community.
As many of you know, all funds raised will go towards a vital revamp of our school environment. This project will help improve the space where our children learn, play and grow every day. It’s something our school truly needs, and together we can make a lasting difference for the pupils of St. Jarlath’s.
To mark this challenge, every hiker will receive a special commemorative t-shirt, and we are offering local businesses and families the opportunity to have their logo or name featured on the shirt as sponsors. It’s a great way to support the school while being part of a memorable community event.
We know this is a big fundraiser, but it is also a once-in-a-decade type of effort. We won’t be asking the community for support on this scale again for a long time, which is why we want to make this event the best it can possibly be.
We are asking our wonderful community to get behind this event and help us make it a success by:

✅ Making a donation towards the project
✅ Volunteering to help organise the event
✅ Signing up and joining us for the hike up Slieve Donard
