A 90 minute, spy-themed walking tour inspired by Embassy Row and delivered by a former CIA officer.
About this Event

If you enjoy historical stories of conspiracy, politics, cover-ups, and assassinations, this tour is for you. This tour begins with your host, a former CIA officer, at the Dupont Circle Fountain and ends at the corner of Ost and 19th Street next to the Dupont Circle Hotel. Examine the suspicious death of a Kremlin insider, and learn more about the strategy behind Russian communications. This is the first of many suspicious deaths we explore.

Hear about the origins of “Embassy Row” and dive deeper into case studies of infamous traitors who lived and operated nearby. Understand more about defectors and what motivates them to leave their birth countries. And…conduct a secret operation! Hint: Bring your map reading skills.

Don’t forget your walking shoes, bring water, and dress for the weather.

Once you've booked, READ YOUR ORDER CONFIRMATION for special Agent Meeting Instructions. We recommend you arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow for check in and an on-time departure.

Our Hosts:

Rosanna has 20+ years of experience in intelligence, security, and risk, including 15 years at CIA in operational and leadership positions in Latin America, Europe, South Asia, Iraq and Washington D.C. Today, Rosanna continues to participate in scenario-based training in the intelligence space, has advised on interdiction efforts by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, and has been integral in insider risk investigations in the oil and energy sector.

George: A former Senior National Security Officer with 30 years of experience with the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of State, and as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. He served multiple assignments in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and South Asia leading intelligence collection operations. He also led the CIA’s advanced tradecraft school and worked in the CIA’s Counterintelligence Center.

Glenn A former Senior Executive in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and operations officer who worked for 34 years in the U.S. Intelligence, Defense, and Foreign Affairs communities of the United States and served for over 20 years abroad serving his country, including as Chief of Station in countries in Eurasia and the Middle East. Glenn is a founding partner in the Consulting Firm "Varyag, LLC", an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of World Politics, author and public speaker on International Affairs and Security issues.

Will: Can neither confirm nor deny that he served in CIA's Directorate of Operations for the better part of a decade, during which he worked in countries across Africa and South Asia. He also spent time at the Department of Homeland Security and the State Department. When most people think of Washington, they think only of the beautiful monuments or Congressional intrigue. Will lives in DC and is eager to share an insider’s perspective of his city’s real intrigue - what spies do in the shadows after dark.
