About this Event
A savory, rustic galette is an ode to the farmer's market and a delight to eat! Join Kat in the classroom kitchen to prepare a delicious vegetable galette with in-season produce and delicious herbs and spices. (I want to see what's good at the market closer to time, but possibly new potatoes with herbs!)
Each participant will prepare their own pastry; groups will work together to make fillings and prepare the veggies for topping, then each will assemble their own to bake and take home!
In this class you'll:
- learn the secrets of making a savory whole wheat pastry from scratch and by hand
- roll out dough and form a rustic free-form tart (aka galette)
- prepare your veggies to build a flavorful filling
- have fun with other awesome students learning & baking together
- learn pro tips you can apply to a variety of similar recipes
- take home your delicious, fresh-from-the-oven galette as well as the recipes for everything you made in class
- enjoy a guided tasting to learn the 5 steps to tasting like a pro!

ABOUT MUDDY'S HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES
Muddy's hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun! Class sizes are small so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Your instructor will demonstrate every step of the recipe and be available as you try each step yourself. While some parts of the recipe may occasionally involve "group work" with other students, you will complete most of the activites yourself... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!
Who should participate? Anyone age 15+ who is looking to learn, wants to have fun, or just enjoys baking in company.
Who teaches the hands-on baking classes? Kat Gordon, owner & founder of Muddy's is the primary instructor for all hands-on baking classes. Any class with more than 4 students also has a 'sidekick' assisting instructor.
Are classes wheelchair accessible? Our tables are height-adjustable, so if you need special accommodations, just let us know ahead of time and we'll be sure to have the table and your spot all ready for you!
What about cancellations? Classes are small and space is limited, so all ticket sales are final. Please check the date/time carefully before booking. If you cannot make it to your class, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If Muddy's must cancel the event for any reason, we will inform you asap and fully refund your ticket.
