Step into the freshness and joy of spring with the elegance of the Regency era at Laughing With Lizzie’s A Ball for All Seasons: Springtide. Enjoy an unforgettable evening of graceful dancing, the opportunity to have your silhouette hand-cut as a keepsake, and a sumptuous buffet – all set within the historic Purley Barn, Reading.
Both new and experienced dancers are warmly welcome, and Regency dress is strongly encouraged to enhance the atmosphere (but not compulsory).
Doors open at 6:00pm, allowing time to settle in and enjoy a sparkling welcome drink before the dancing begins. The ball will start promptly at 6:30pm, so arriving early will ensure you make the most of the evening.

Silhouette Cutting by Silhouette Sarah
Have your silhouette hand-cut live by the talented Silhouette Sarah. A charming and unique memento to remember your Springtide evening.
Supper and Refreshments
Inspired by the Regency era, enjoy a buffet prepared by Oh My Nosh Catering, accompanied by a glass of wine or soft drink, and followed by delectable desserts. A variety of non-alcoholic drinks will also be available to keep you refreshed throughout the evening.
(Please note: there is no bar available, but you are welcome to bring additional drinks if desired.)
✨ Silhouette Cutting Workshop with Silhouette Sarah
On the same day as the ball, step back into Jane Austen’s world with an afternoon of history and hands-on creativity with Silhouette Sarah. You’ll begin with a talk on the art of Regency silhouettes - looking at Jane Austen’s own and the charming works of her contemporaries - before turning to some silhouette-making of your own. Bring along profile photos of family, friends, or even pets, and create a delightful keepsake or decorated cards to treasure or gift to a loved one.
