PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE TO AVOID GOOD FRIDAYTrio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert on - usually - the first Friday lunchtime of each month (Feb-Dec) at 12.30pm at St John’s Church, Midsomer Norton: a 45-minute concert of mainly classical music, introduced by the performers. There is a pop-up café from midday where you can meet friends for a chat before the concert.
Our spring programme features music inspired by the natural beauty of spring and includes ‘D’un matin de printemps’ by Lili Boulanger, Grieg ‘Spring’, ‘Il pleut’ by Mel Bonis, and Rachmaninov ‘Spring Waters’.
Concerts last c45mins and entrance (or rather, exit!) is by donation, with a retiring collection. Refreshments - tea, coffee & Rosemary's delicious home-made cakes - are on sale half an hour before the concert. There's no need to book, though an RVSP via our website is appreciated…turn up early for best choice of seat, and maybe bring a cushion for the pew. Trio Paradis Cafe Concerts are 'pay-what-you-feel' via a retiring collection, to keep live music affordable for everyone. More information at www.trioparadis.com.
