The history of the Roaring 20’s includes dances like Savoy Swing, Lindy, West Coast Swing, Carolina Shag, East Coast Swing, Jitterbug, and the Charleston. During the 1920’s, while dancing contemporary Jazz music the Charleston was discovered. This evolved into dance styles like the Lindy Hop and the Jitterbug. In the 1930’s and during World War II, Swing music came into being with the music of Benny Goodman leading the way. This class will be followed by a FREE 1920’s dance party, including classic 20’s appetizers like deviled eggs, shrimp cocktails, and cheese platters from 8 to 9 PM. Class Limit: 10 Couples
