About this Event
Spring is the natural season of renewal. As the accumulated heaviness of winter thaws, the body shifts, releasing stored congestion, excess mucus, and metabolic waste that can leave you feeling sluggish, foggy, or weighed down. Ayurveda recognizes this as the ideal time to gently cleanse and restore balance, supporting the body’s innate ability to reset itself.
In this workshop, you will learn the true Ayurvedic approach to cleansing; one that is nourishing, sustainable, and deeply supportive rather than depleting. Unlike extreme detox programs that rely on restriction, juices, or fasting, Ayurvedic cleansing focuses on simplifying digestion, rekindling the digestive fire and allowing the body to release excess naturally through warm, grounding, easy to digest foods and daily practices.
We will explore why spring, governed by the qualities of heaviness, coolness, and moisture, is the most effective and safest time of year to cleanse. When supported properly, this seasonal transition can improve energy, digestion, mental clarity, immunity, and overall vitality.
You will also learn to recognize signs that your body may benefit from a cleanse, including:
- Feeling heavy, sluggish, or fatigued
- Slow digestion, bloating, or loss of appetite
- Brain fog or lack of mental clarity
- Congestion, mucus, or seasonal allergies
- Coated tongue, dull skin, or bad breath
- Feeling stuck, unmotivated, or emotionally stagnant
This workshop will explain how Ayurvedic cleansing works at the root level, supporting digestion, metabolism, and elimination, rather than forcing detoxification in ways that can weaken the body.
A highlight of the workshop will be a live cooking demonstration showing how to prepare kitchari, a traditional Ayurvedic dish made from split mung beans, rice, and digestive spices. Kitchari is deeply nourishing while giving the digestive system a chance to rest and reset. You will learn how to prepare it properly, why it is so effective, and how to incorporate it into a home cleanse.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- The Ayurvedic concept of cleansing and how it differs from modern detox trends
- Why spring is the optimal season to cleanse
- How cleansing supports digestion, energy, immunity, and mental clarity
- Signs that your body may benefit from a reset
- How to approach cleansing in a gentle, sustainable way
- How to prepare kitchari and use it as a foundation for an Ayurvedic cleanse
- Simple daily practices to support your body’s natural detoxification
This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in improving digestion, increasing energy, reducing seasonal congestion, or aligning their health with the rhythms of nature. You will leave with practical tools, and the confidence to support your body through a safe and effective Ayurvedic spring reset.
