Discover the bold, fluid world of alcohol inks in this colorful, hands‑on workshop. Perfect for beginners and intermediate artists, this class introduces you to the unique ways alcohol inks move, blend, and react on ceramic or porcelain tiles to create vivid abstract or representational pieces. You’ll learn about different types of inks, blending solutions, and essential tools, along with basic techniques like dropping, tilting, blowing, and guiding the inks to create effects such as gradients, blooms, and marbling. We’ll also cover how to seal and finish your tiles so your artwork lasts. No experience is needed—just curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and a love of vibrant color. Supplies are not included in the workshop fee. A PDF supply list is available in the workshop description.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
