About this Event
We'll search for migrant birds in the "Birdplace" of America while discussing bird migration through Philadelphia. Let's meet at the Commodore Barry Statue behind Independence Hall at 9 am. After our walk (~10.15 am), we will visit the exhibit "Sketching Splendor: American Natural History, 1750-1850" at the American Philosophical Society, which includes works by Bartrama and Audubon, among others.
Please RSVP as space is limited.
No binoculars? No worries! Birding backpacks with binoculars and field guides are now back on loan at the following local Philly libraries: Andorra, Cobbs Creek, Cecil B. Moore, Falls of Schuylkill, Frankford, Greater Olney, Logan, Richmond, South Philly, Torresdale, and Widener.
