About this Event
Celebrate spring with a special tour spotlighting our historical garden then enjoy a historically-inspired wine tasting, led by our WSET-certified docent, that will feature a selection of white wines inspired by what might have been served to guests of the Mount Vernon Hotel.
Join us to learn about our garden, designed by renowned landscape architect Alice Recknagel Ireys, and the many varieties of plants in our urban garden oasis.
As we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the opening of the Mount Vernon Hotel, we are offering a series of historically-inspired wine tastings to help visitors step back in time and immerse themselves in the Mount Vernon Hotel's period. This event, held in our historic Tavern, will be led by our WSET-certified docent and will feature a selection of contemporary floral-bouqueted white wines inspired by what would have been served in the 1820s; light refreshments will be served (must be 21).
A perfect combination: garden florals followed by white wines with floral bouquets.
