Zoukphoria Partner Dance Immersion Weekend
Brazilian Zouk is a partner dance characterized by fluid movements and deep sense of connection & attunement between dancers.
People fall in love with Zouk because of how it feels -it's euphoric, yet grounding; and famously addictive. Its devoted community of dancers weave a tight-knit global network of brilliant and dedicated individuals who convene locally and internationally to co-create transcendent artistic experiences. At Zoukphoria, we want to share and grow this immaculate third space & community with more of NYC.
On the weekend of April 18-19, we invite both new & experienced dancers to learn and play together. Each day will have 3.5 hours of beginner workshops focused on learning basics & exploring somatic concepts, plus 3.5 hours of intermediate / advanced workshops for our devoted existing community members. We are excited to welcome guest artists Logan & Camilla, with more to be announced soon.
Classes will be followed by a 4 hour dance party, featuring our eclectic local DJs who weave together everything from deep house to R&B to dark tribal & world music. We look forward to welcoming you!
