'Spring Floral' Painting and Drawing Class

Friendly and supportive Art Class for beginners and improvers.

The Spring Floral course runs for102weeks Course from April 15th to July 8th, with a break for half term.

Classes are for two hours on Wednesday mornings from 10 am to 12noon. Time is allowed before and after the session to set up and clear up.

About the course:

The theme this term is about Spring with a focus on flowers and foliage. We will explore composition and selection to help you create unique artworks.

Classes will include demonstrations and instruction in drawing and painting in a range of mediums including, graphite, coloured pencils, pastels, watercolour, acrylic ink and acrylic as well as basic printing such as foam lino and Gelli printing. Students are however free to use their own favourite materials. Some materials will be available for experimentation.

What to bring: Please bring an apron or wear old clothes - paint can stain. You might like to bring some paper, a drawing board, and your favourite materials. however basic papers, and a range of materials will be available for people to try, especially in the first session, so please don't feel you have to go out and buy expensive materials till you are sure what you want.

About St Mary's The venue is ground floor and has accessible facilities. There is limited parking on the street. There is a small kitchen for making teas and coffees etc,
