Join Brooklyn Bridge Parents for our second annual Spring Fling on Sunday, May 17. We are taking over Montague Street during Open Streets from 12 to 4 pm for a full day of community play and discovery with 25 free kids' activities. Dive into interactive games, arts & crafts, soccer, STEM, building activities, Pokémon trading, face painting sponsored by Basis, and much more.
The PuppetMobile will present a special performance of Pinocchio at 1:00 pm. Experience a fresh take on the classic fairytale. In this new telling, Geppetto is a New York City kid with a talent for invention, going as far as creating a robot friend in the form of Pinocchio. The story follows the pair as they tour around classic locales, from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park to the Victorian Gardens Amusement Park, and the hijinks they get into along the way.
Free Kids Yoga: Wiggle, Stretch, and Giggle at 2:30 pm. Bring your own mat and get moving! Join GTHR Yoga under the tent for a free kids' yoga class full of simple stretches, big movements, and a few laughs along the way. Perfect for ages 3–11and grown-ups are welcome too! No experience needed; just come ready to move, breathe, and have fun.
Enjoy car-free blocks on Montague Street from Clinton – Henry & Henry – Hicks. Best for ages 0 – 12.
Open Streets on Montague is a project of the Montague Street Business Improvement District in collaboration with the Brooklyn Heights Association and the New York City Department of Transportation. Come out to play, make friends, and laugh! (rain or shine)
