About this Event
In early spring, the forest begins to quietly stir. Buds form on branches, birds return with their songs, and the earth softens after the long stillness of winter. Awakening is the moment when something that has been dormant begins to come alive again. It is not sudden or dramatic, but subtle and gradual a gentle returning to life.
A Simple Way to Think About Awakening
Awakening is not about becoming someone different.
It’s about coming back into contact with life.
It is the moment when awareness, feeling, and possibility begin to rise again like the first buds appearing on a tree.
For something like forest bathing walks, awakening fits beautifully because nature helps people shift from thinking to sensing, which gently wakes up the emotional and sensory parts of the mind. 🌿
This walk is an invitation to slow down and awaken your senses to the small signs of spring emerging all around us. Through a series of simple, guided invitations, we will move slowly through the landscape, deepening our awareness and reconnecting with the natural world.
Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, which supports relaxation, mindfulness, and a deeper connection to nature. There is no hiking experience required and no distance to cover only the opportunity to pause, breathe, and be present.
The walk will take place rain or shine.
The walk will be guided by a Certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.
Come as you are and allow the forest to gently awaken your senses as we welcome the new season together. 🌱
