Program Details
- Dates: March 9–13
- Location: Holy Family Elementary School
- Ages: Kids born in 2016, 2017, 2018
- Hours: 8:30–3:15 (15‑minute drop‑off/pick‑up windows)
- Capacity: 16 participants
- Cost: $375 per child
Program Overview
- 5‑day, games‑based multi‑sport camp with rugby as the anchor sport
- Focus on physical literacy and age‑appropriate rugby fundamentals
- Emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and positive sport culture
- Provides a structured spring break option for families
- Multi‑sport approach supports long‑term athlete development
- Mental and strategy games included to maintain engagement and balance activities
Typical Daily Itinerary
- 8:30–8:45 – Drop‑off and free choice
- 8:45–9:30 – Warm‑up games (relays, balance, animal walks)
- 9:30–10:00 – Rugby ball‑handling games
- 10:00–10:15 – Snack break
- 10:15–11:00 – Sports reading and discussion (teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship)
- 11:00–12:00 – Skill‑based games (basketball, soccer, badminton, dodgeball etc.)
- 12:00–12:30 – Lunch
- 12:30–1:30 – Rugby/multi‑sport skill games
- 1:30–2:00 – Quiet games (chess, Qwirkle, cards, memory etc)
- 2:00–2:30 – Team‑building games
- 2:30–3:00 – Reflective writing (goals, highlights, next‑day planning)
- 3:00–3:30 – Free choice and pick‑up window
This is a new program so there will be adjustments as needed, but this is the general idea!
Program Notes
- No tackle rugby
- Controlled, age‑appropriate grappling and rough‑and‑tumble activities included
- Literacy, mindset, and strategy sessions provide cognitive rest
- Reinforces rugby’s values‑based culture
- participants will be responsible for their own food
