Join Kevin Burke of Carolina Nature Tours on Thursday, April 16th at 8am for a walk around FENCE to look for resident and migratory birds. Spring is an exciting time to be birding in our area. Migratory birds are funneling back into our area in huge numbers. We will be spending a leisurely couple hours walking the property trying to find these new arrivals. Warblers, Tanagers, Swallows, and many more species are possible. Some birds we hope to see are Hooded Warbler, Indigo Bunting, Barn Swallow, Summer Tanager, and many more. This should be a fun morning of easy birding! Please meet at the lower parking lot below the Nature Center near the pollinator garden. Birders of all levels are welcome. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring along a water bottle.
This event is free and open to the public. Thank you to the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation for making this event possible.
