Ah, spring is finally here! As the days lengthen and become brighter, you only have to take a deep inhale to smell the multitude of exhilarating aromas that signal a time of change and rejuvenation of life. It is also the time of year when the humble vine begins its annual cycle of growth to eventually deliver us our favourite tipple - new shoots crawl along trellises, dormant leaves unfold and blossoms bloom.
To celebrate, we're hosting a tasting of wines that encapsulate the aromas and joy associated with this exciting time of year. Think of wines whose focus is perfume, delicacy and crystalline beauty. Whites such as aromatic Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire's Central Vineyards or earthy Silvaner from the esoteric Franken. Or perhaps reds perfumed with berries and laced with zippy acidity, like a Trousseau from the depths of Eastern France or a Mencía from lesser-known Bierzo. So come join us for a night of wines of floral finesse, aromatic refinement and exquisite delicacy.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
