Don’t miss the boat on this fun program at the Columbia River Maritime Museum! The Education Department is excited to host another HOMESCHOOL DAY - and spots fill quickly! We’re accepting just 30 youth participants, and registration closes April 20 or when capacity is reached.
Homeschool Day Monday, April 27, 2026, 10AM – 1PM
This session dives into Rescue at Sea, with a special focus on the U.S. Coast Guard and the tools they use to save lives.
During the program, participants will:
* Rotate through three hands-on learning stations in small groups
* Take part in our interactive Rescue at Sea Learning Lab
* Enjoy an indoor lunch space (lunch NOT provided – bring your own lunch)
* Share feedback to help shape future homeschool programs
Optional Homeschool Day add-ons:
* Watch a 3D movie – Arctic: Our Frozen Planet or Aircraft Carrier: Guardian of the Seas – just $5 per person, per film
* Tour the Lightship Columbia engine rooms - just $5 per person and includes access to the ship until 3 PM
