AMSEA is offering a Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor and Fishermen's First Aid and Safety Training (FFAST) course in Astoria, Oregon for commercial fishermen, made possible by support from NIOSH, the U.S. Coast Guard, Oregon Sea Grant, and AMSEA members.
The FFAST portion combines an HSI Basic First Aid/CPR/AED certification (USCG Approved) with additional fishing-specific, boat-based scenarios and skills. Lunch and snacks will be provided, and the course will cover essential safety topics to improve on-the-water preparedness and response.

The Drill Conductor portion of this course meets the US Coast Guard training requirements for drill conductors on commercial fishing vessels, 46 CFR 28.270(c).
