About this Event

Japanese Fashion for Teens is a free, interactive cultural program that introduces teens to the creativity, history, and global influence of Japanese fashion and personal style.

Participants will explore how fashion in Japan reflects identity, youth culture, tradition, and innovation—from everyday street style to contemporary trends influenced by pop culture, music, and art. The program encourages curiosity, self-expression, and cultural awareness through discussion and visual examples.

About the Series
This program is part of the Spring Japanese Culture & Culinary Program for Teens, hosted across multiple Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) branches in partnership with the Japan-America Association of South Carolina (JAASC) and Global Table.

Each program is offered at a different CCPL location and time.
