Come hear Jordan Mintz speak about his experience as a whistleblower during the Enron scandal. Before its collapse and bankruptcy in 2001, Enron was one of the largest energy, commodities, and services companies in the United States.
Jordan Mintz currently serves as Chief Tax Officer and Vice President for Kinder Morgan, Inc., one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. He oversees approximately 70 professionals responsible for tax planning, compliance, audit, and reporting functions and has been involved in multibillion dollar deals and transactions.
Prior to working at Enron, Jordan was a partner at the law firm Bracewell LLP. He has also held roles with Centex Corporation, one of the largest public homebuilders, and Exxon Corporation, a global energy company. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Boston University School of Law, and New York University School of Law. He is also a Professor of the Practice in Energy and Tax Policy at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
