Join us for an evening of conversation, insight, and connection as SOSA's Toronto Chapter presents Spotlight South Asia 2026, our marquee annual event celebrating voices and journeys within the architectural community.
This year, we feature an engaging conversation with and of StudioJCI. Their story is one worth telling beyond the work itself — Jaegap has been a long-time mentor to Sudipto, and today they stand together as Principals at the same firm. That arc, from mentor and mentee to peers and partners, speaks to the power of genuine investment in one another's growth. Through personal reflections, they will share the realities behind their careers — from early beginnings and pivotal decisions to the challenges, setbacks, and successes that shaped their paths. The discussion offers an honest look at what it takes to build a meaningful practice, navigate the evolving landscape of architecture, and why mentorship remains one of the most important forces in shaping the architects we become.
This year's event carries special meaning. We are proud to mark five years of SOSA Canada: five years of community, advocacy, and amplifying South Asian voices in architecture. It has been a remarkable journey, and this evening is as much a celebration as it is a conversation.
The evening is designed to bring the community together, to learn, reflect, and connect with peers and leaders in the field.
