Golden Plains Soccer Club is proud to announce that we are hosting the Golden Plains Sport and Rec Fest on the 14th of March 2026, with many stall holders and many activities for the whole family to come along and have a go at. Our committee and fellow volunteers have worked hard ensuring that our canteen will be fully open for food, hot and cold drinks, to keep you refreshed, energised and refuelled throughout the day. The Active Golden Plains Sport and Recreational Fest celebrates the many ways people of all ages can get active, connect and belong across Golden Plains Shire.
Delivered by Golden Plains Shire Council, this exciting new shire-wide event forms part of the Active Golden Plains program, designed to promote active living, social connection and community wellbeing.
The Sport & Rec Fest offers a unique opportunity for community
members to explore and try a wide range of physical and recreational activities available locally. From football, golf, bowls and tennis, to dance, gyms, fishing groups, BMX and basketball — there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Residents are encouraged to come along, have a go, meet local clubs and organisations, and discover new ways to stay active and involved in their community. The event also provides an opportunity for local groups to showcase their programs and recruit new participants and volunteers.
