Learn the traditional craft of wooden spoon carving with me, Tamsin Quin, in the beautiful surroundings of Brandiers Farm, Minety, Wiltshire.This is a FULL day course where we will each craft our own wooden spoon from log to finished spoon, using freshly felled green wood and using a variety of hand tools. You will learn basic axe and knife techniques, wood species and form, the ergonomics of spoons for different uses and enjoy a plant based lunch from wooden bowls and spoons around the campfire. (See Half Day course for a more basic alternative).
This course is suitable for beginners and improvers, no previous experience is needed. Its a fun day out to learn a new skill in a natural environment and perhaps pick up a new hobby.
