What happens when you bring artists together on stage for the first time and ask them to create something live, without rehearsals?
That’s the starting point of Tongue Fu, the legendary UK spoken word and music project led by Chris Redmond. For almost 20 years, poets, writers and storytellers have stepped on stage alongside improvising musicians in performances built entirely in the moment.
Balancing somewhere between concert and complete improvisation, Tongue Fu has travelled through stages like Glastonbury Festival, Roundhouse and Edinburgh Fringe, while keeping the same principle alive: nothing is prepared, everything happens live.
