The 15th European Conference on Defects in Insulating Materials (EURODIM 2026) will take place on July 6–10, 2026, in Timișoara, Romania. EURODIM is a well-established international conference series bringing together researchers working on point and extended defects in insulating materials, from fundamental theory and advanced characterization to technological applications.EURODIM 2026 will provide a forum for interdisciplinary discussions covering bulk crystals, glasses, thin films, and nanostructures, with emphasis on optical, electrical, and radiation-related phenomena, as well as emerging functional materials.
The conference is organized by the Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara in collaboration with the Filiala Timișoara a Societății Române de Fizică - FTSRF, and will be held in the vibrant city of Timișoara, a major academic and cultural center of Central and Eastern Europe.
