Spoken Word & Poetry Writing Workshop: Celebrating Black History Month
As part of our Black History Month , we invite you to take part in an engaging spoken word and poetry workshop. This event will be a space to explore the power of words, rhythm, and performance as tools for expression, storytelling, and community building.
Guided by poet, Lioness X, participants will be encouraged to draw inspiration from personal experiences, history, and culture. Through writing exercises, group discussions, and opportunities to share aloud, you’ll discover how poetry and spoken word can give voice to stories that might otherwise go unheard.

No prior writing experience is necessary—this workshop is open to all, whether you’re a seasoned poet or simply curious about trying something new. Together, we will create a supportive and encouraging environment where everyone can feel confident to write, speak, and listen.
Come ready to celebrate Black history, amplify your voice, and connect with others through the art of language.
