About this Event

Dates: Mon Feb 9, 9:30 am-4 pm. Sales End: Feb 2. Ticket: $75 + Eventbrite fee. Instructor: Pat Maley. Materials fee: $10. Skills Needed: All levels of expertise and interest welcome. Class Limit: 8 Age: Adult only. Location: 1st Floor.

Learn how to spindle spin. You will learn spindling on all spindles great and small. We will use drop, support, handmade and commercially made spindles. If you have spindles bring them but there will be spindles of all types available to use in class. Bring a small bowl that is UNBREAKABLE, and at least 3 inches in diameter

Supplies to Bring:

  • A small UNBREAKABLE bowl at least 3 inches in diameter.
  • Any spindles you have.
  • Bring Your lunch and beverages. There won't be time to go out for lunch.
  • $10 materials fee payable to the instructor at start of class. Fee includes one spindle. Cash or check only accepted.

Pat has been spinning and weaving since the late 1960’s. She has been certified by Handweavers Guild of America as a Master Spinner, having completed both levels of the program. She frequently demonstrates spinning, weaving and dyeing at historical venues and pioneer festivals. She has been teaching all types of spinning at the Weaver’s Guild since the late 1980’s.

Depending on the for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.

If you are not feeling well, please contact the instructor instead of coming to the class. On a case-by-case basis, we may be able to reschedule you into a future class or provide a make-up lesson. Ticket fees are not normally refunded.

This class is designed for ages 18 and above.

Fees are non-refundable. Your fee will only be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
