Special screening of the award-winning documentary Skid Row Marathon
Q&A after the screening with Judge Craig Mitchell and the filmmakers
On the occasion of the Skid Row Running Club's visit to Paris for the Paris Marathon, a special free screening of the documentary Skid Row Marathon will be held at MK2 Bibliothèque in the presence of American Judge Craig Mitchell and the filmmakers Mark and Gabriele Hayes.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2012 by Criminal Court Judge Craig Mitchell, the Skid Row Running Club brings together men and women living on the streets, people released from Pr*son and drug addicts. Over the years, the discipline of running with the Judge has helped them reconnect with their own dignity. What began with three members has grown to 150 active members today, and the club has already participated in 25 marathons, including 10 international races.
The documentary Skid Row Marathon tells this extraordinary human story and follows several members of the club as they prepare for a marathon, facing daily struggles, resilience, and the hope of a second chance.
This year, 40 members of the club will travel from Los Angeles to take part in the Paris Marathon. On this occasion, the Paris public is invited to discover the film during a screening followed by a discussion with Judge Craig Mitchell, some runners and the filmmakers.

À l’occasion de la venue à Paris du Skid Row Running Club pour le Marathon de Paris, une projection exceptionnelle et gratuite du documentaire Skid Row Marathon sera organisée au MK2 Bibliothèque, en présence du juge américain Craig Mitchell et des réalisateurs Mark Hayes et Gabriele Hayes.
Fondé à Los Angeles en 2012 par le juge Craig Mitchell, le Skid Row Running Club réunit des hommes et des femmes vivant dans la rue ou ayant eu affaire à la justice. Au fil des années, la course à pied est devenue pour eux un espace de reconstruction, de discipline, de dignité et d’espoir. Ce qui a commencé avec trois membres compte aujourd’hui 150 membres actifs, et le club a déjà participé à 25 marathons, dont 10 à l’international.
Le documentaire Skid Row Marathon raconte cette aventure humaine hors du commun et suit plusieurs membres du club dans leur préparation à la course, entre combat quotidien, résilience et seconde chance.
Cette année, 40 membres du club feront le déplacement depuis Los Angeles pour participer au Marathon de Paris. À cette occasion, le public parisien est invité à découvrir le film lors d’une projection suivie d’un échange avec le juge Craig Mitchell et les réalisateurs.
