For the past 16 years, Monica’s work has focused on the Gut-Brain Connection, and as “The GAPS Chef” she is an
internationally recognized expert on how to cook to heal a leaky gut and the symptoms it causes. Monica is the lead
faculty at GAPS Training LLC, where she teaches GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome™ and Gut and Physiology
Syndrome™) cooking techniques in the Certified GAPS Practitioner and Coach programs.
Monica is the author of seven books which teach traditional cooking techniques. Her most recent publication is the
second edition of The Complete Cooking Techniques for the GAPS Diet, published by Selene River Press, which is now
available in French and Italian (Spanish and German coming soon).

Learn about her upcoming group, JumpStart: GAPS!, an Intro Diet Immersion starting January 20, 2026, where you can
learn all you need to learn to "do Intro" successfully.
Bring a potluck dish to share in our community setting. Please adhere to WAPF food guidelines. List your ingredients
on a 3X5 note card and include a recipe. If you’re new to our group keep it simple e.g.: yogurt with organic fruit, any egg
dish, veggies in butter, a raw cheese platter OR come early and shop for something at Natural Grocers
Swap-Gift-or Share-Bring your extra sourdough starter, kombucha SCOBY, kefir grains, cultured dairy starter, garden
produce, herbal remedies you made, extra tools and jars that you love, etc. to share with other members. Attach
instructions or be prepared to teach!
