Special Event: Milwaukee Youth Poet Laureate Finals

Join us as we name Milwaukee’s fourth Youth Poet Laureate! Emceed by Milwaukee Poet Laureate Shelly Conley, the program will feature performances by our three finalists, along with an appearance and reading by the current Milwaukee Youth Poet Laureate, Angela Wang.

Judges for this year’s competition include poet and Founder and Project Manager of In Community Alea McHatten, visual artist and poet and Woodland Pattern Teaching Artist Jackie Valadez, and typewriter poet and Manager for Sociocultural Programming at UW–Milwaukee John Contreras.
