About this Event
Join Sharon Marzocco, Special Education Advocate from Marzocco Advocacy Group, for a workshop on Special Education-Parent's Rights and Procedural Safeguards. Sharon has worked with families to help them navigate the details and nuances of how the special education process works in our school system. She often comes across parents saying "Why didn't they tell me that or I wish I had known about my options and rights" during her consultation sessions.
She will have time to review IEPs and Q&A's. Sharon provides quidance, education and advocacy to families with children needing special education services. She is a member of PEAC (Pennsylvania Education for all Coalition), IDA (International Dyslexia Association) and COPAA (Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates). She has completed COPAA's SEAT 2.0 & 3.0 programs and frequently speaks to area parent groups about various IEP/504 topics.
This is an inperson workshop that will be offered in the cafe of Weavers Way Ambler. We encourage you to bring your child's IEP to the workshop to enable Sharon to share specific insights with you. The workshop will run from 6:30-7:30pm on March 6th.
