The Mahoning Drive-In Theater, Pennsylvania's All-Retro, 35mm Cult Phenomenon, is taking its show on the road! Join us at the nonprofit Ambler Theater for a special creature feature double bill of GRIZZLY (1976) and SQUIRM (1976) on 35mm! Hosted by members of the Mahoning Drive-In crew, THE MAHONING ROADSHOW brings memories of warm summer nights to cold winter months, with live introductions, Q&A’s, and more fun, recreating a night at the drive-in for indoor audiences. 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 at amblertheater.org/specials𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘀 Nature Bites Back! In our first feature, GRIZZLY attempts to capitalize off of the success of Jaws by replacing the killer shark with a man-eating grizzly bear that terrorizes a national park and employing familiar plot devices, including an heroic park ranger and a hotheaded gunman who are looking to bring this hairy menace to its knees. In our second feature, SQUIRM tells the story of a Georgia town that must survive electrified, cannibalistic earthworms which are burrowing straight from the soil right into the townsfolks’ skin!
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 The Mahoning Drive-In Theater is the premiere outdoor celluloid throwback destination for film fans the world over. They are bringing their love of cinema under-the-stars and the drive-in vibe to east coast theaters, screening 35mm prints of retro classics and deep cuts, along with vintage trailers, snack bar ads, and intermission reels.
