It's time to get your act together!Welcome to SPACE:TIME:CREATE - Clown Creation Lab – a fortnightly space to develop creative 'work' in community.
Robyn Hambrook of the Bristol Clown School is offering dedicated time and space to explore, experiment, and build your clown acts – whether you're starting from scratch or refining an idea.
Each session includes a playful group warm-up, a creative provocation to spark ideas, and then plenty of open space for you to devise and develop your act.
Not sure where to begin? Don’t worry – Robyn has a toolkit of creative prompts to get you moving and making.
We’ll wrap up each session with a short, informal sharing of work-in-progress, giving you the chance to test material and get supportive feedback from the group.
The Clown Creation Lab is designed to tackle the trickiest bits of making new work:
★ How do I get started?
★ Working alone can be hard (and lonely!)
★ How is this landing with an audience?
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This is for clowns, improvisers, comedians, physical performers, theatre artists, dancers, musicians, visual artists and anyone who has a desire to create a clown, comedy or cabaret act.
These sessions are designed to support you in your creative process and help you take your ridiculous ideas to a finished piece that you can unleash at cabarets, scratch nights, on festival stages or form the basis of a longer show.
