This engaging space science camp introduces students to foundational astronomy and space science concepts through hands-on, guided STEM activities in a structured learning environment. Students will explore how space works while building curiosity, observation skills, and early scientific thinking.Throughout the week, students will learn age-appropriate topics including planets, gravity, rockets, spacecraft, and what life is like for astronauts in space. Lessons are designed to make complex ideas accessible through interactive, step-by-step instruction and hands-on exploration.
Students will participate in activities such as designing and building simple model rockets, creating space habitat projects, exploring gravity through demonstrations, and studying the solar system. They will also complete observation-based activities and simple engineering design challenges inspired by space exploration.
Each session is structured to encourage problem-solving, creativity, and scientific reasoning as students test ideas, make observations, and learn how scientists and engineers study and explore space.
This is a structured instructional STEM class focused on foundational space science, astronomy, and engineering concepts through guided, hands-on learning, not a childcare or drop-in program.
All materials are provided.
