About this Event
Soul Purpose 360 is a national Black women’s empowerment social enterprise. Its mission is to motivate, inspire and imbue confidence in Black women to help them overcome obstacles and challenges and support them to contribute positively to their communities through their own personal growth.
Soul Purpose 360 Lambeth is part of the national network of Black Women’s Networking and Empowerment Circles around the UK. We host monthly workshops at the Notre Dame Community Centre, 1 Worsopp Drive, SW4 9QU on the 3rd Thursday of each month..
Workshops run for 1 hour, from 7.30-8.30pm. The rest of the time is dedicated to connecting and networking.
These gatherings are part of an empowerment programme, where members choose the session topics that they believe will offer them the support, information, guidance and advice they need for personal growth and community enrichment. For our November workshop, we’ve invited Vanessa Ansa to lead a Healing Tea Reading Circle.
Vanessa Ansa is a co-director and cultural producer at The South North CIC. Their projects centre community voice, exchange and learning. They enable spaces in which care and wellbeing are at the heart of their creative and cultural engagement.
Healing Tea Reading Circle - Hawthorn
In this reading circle, you’ll be offered a heart-nourishing herbal infusion made with hawthorn, whilst we gather around the writing of Sui Searle (a gardener, writer, printmaker and founder of @decolonisethegarden, which focuses on bringing a decolonial lens and anti-racism perspective to horticulture). She edits the online gardening newsletter, Radicle, from which we will be reading.
