About this Event
2025 has been a wonderful year for Fungi, and a big year for the South London Mushroom Club, which has expanded like a fruiting Pleurotus ostreatus!
This year the Club has grown, cooked, foraged and identified mushrooms together, visited Kew's Fungarium, imagined what it's like to be a fungus, heard talks about mycology and community building, the enclosure of the commons, fungi's relationships with lichen, the roles of mushrooms in slowing climate breakdown, and much much more.
All are welcome to join us to celebrate the closing of the year, to gather and to socialise with like-minded people for a delicious, casual, communal potluck meal, with some added garnishes:
* Book Swap *
* Games *
* Prizes *
Please note that this is a shared meal that will require everyone to bring a pre-made dish to share. Organisers will contact attendees more details a little closer to the time about this.
This is a donation based event, open to those with a shared love of fungi and all things mushroom-related, living or hanging out in (South) London. Suggested donation: £2 (feel free to give more or less!) Or, grab a fun SLMC tote bag from Adi to carry your mushroom love! 🛍️ Donations will go towards room hire, soft-drinks and materials.
