Confronting Suicide in Construction
represents the construction industry's unified effort to save lives by fostering an environment where it's safe to discuss mental health daily on every jobsite.
According to the CDC's data, the construction and extraction industries have the highest rate of suicide in the United States. The initiative aims to enhance the mental health of construction workers through effective education, intervention, and postvention strategies. We strive to encourage, equip, and empower mental health champions within the workforce.
The Mission
The mission is straightforward: to save lives across the construction industry by prioritizing the mental health of colleagues as much as their physical safety. Together, we provide construction craft and industry professionals with the necessary tools to care for themselves and support one anotherβbecause every life matters, and every conversation counts.
