About this Event
Come slurp and play with your soup to benefit cancer patients who are away from home and reside at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance housing during their treatment – help soup lady Caroline Wright bring her soup to those who need it most. Caroline started Soup Club to share the soup healing she found when strangers brought her soup, and now she wants to share Soup Club with patients in search of healing.
This fundraiser will raise the funds needed for Soup Club to donate twenty quarts of soup weekly during the 2024-2025 season, in partnership with Cook for Your Life through Fred Hutch. It will be a classic “empty bowl”-style event – purchase of a ticket will be exchanged for a beautiful ceramic bowl (made and donated by the local pottery studio, Gather) upon checking in at the event, that earns its owner unlimited soup and an afternoon of family-oriented soup fun and community. Guests can bid on enticing items from local businesses, sip wine from the restaurant’s beautiful bar, and listen to local artists share their soup passions – and even join in making some soup art, too!
Families welcome. Paper bowls for companions will be available for purchase; kids eat free.
