No nostalgia trip — just pure Northern Soul energy, rebuilt for the now with 2 iconic selectors delivering heavyweight stompers, rare grooves and dancefloor weapons from open to close:
HAMMIE
(He first discovered soul music in the late ’60s and early ’70s as a teenager at his local youth club, before making his first pilgrimage to the legendary Wigan Casino for an all-nighter in the spring of 1974.
By 1976, he was behind the decks himself, earning his first DJ spot in the Oldies Room at St Ives with the East Anglian Soul Club, thanks to the legendary Brian Rae. From there, he became a regular fixture at EASC events, playing venues including St Ives, Kettering Central Hall, The Fleet, The Bretton Centre and The Nite Spot in Bedford.
After stepping away from DJing in the early 1980s, he returned to the scene in the mid-1990s — and has remained ever-present ever since.
Between the late 1990s and mid-2000s, he co-hosted two respected Bedford rare soul events, Kempston Rovers and Bedford Athletic Club. During this period he also played the Prestatyn Soul Weekender and co-hosted the well-regarded Half Time Orange in Leicester, alongside appearances at Samantha’s in Sheffield, the Embankment Club in Wellingborough and The Sweet Pea in Hinckley.
Today, he continues to be heavily involved in major weekender events including Cleethorpes, Bridlington, Skegness and Sunny Hunny — with Weymouth and Ilfracombe added to the calendar this year.
Still passionate, still selective, he continues to play quality soul events across the country whenever the call comes)

(Since 1975, Dave Raistrick has built a reputation as a respected name on the Northern Soul scene, playing at some of the UK’s most iconic venues and events — as well as internationally.
Over the years he has DJ’d at Nottingham Palais, Rock City (Nottingham), Assembly Rooms (Derby), The Fleet (Peterborough), Winter Gardens (Cleethorpes), Skegness Weekender, Keystone Weekender (USA), Benidorm Soul Fiesta (Spain), Perugia (Italy), the 100 Club (London), Radcliffe Allnighter (Manchester), Rugby Allnighter, CIS (Manchester), Wilton (Wakefield), Sheridans (Dewsbury), Lifeline at The Stables (West Midlands), Bidds (Stoke), and St Ives (Cambridge).
And that’s only part of the story — with many more appearances across the UK and beyond over the decades)
