SORBD consists of 5 female musicians from the European improvised music and free jazz scene. Each one of them developed a strong artistic language that functions as inspiration for the others during their music performance. A unique sound language and the development of contemporary concepts of ensemble playing are the hallmarks of SORBD's five instrumentalists and composers. Improvisation in various constellations as well as conceptual compositional sketches lead SORBD to a high degree of interactive joy in playing, surprising moments of noise, and sensual sound images. 2024 the quintet publishes a record at the New York label Relative Pitch Records called Wild Peacock In Transit.
