Join Rhythm 'n' Roots and special guests Sa'Nashi as they journey through songs that brighten the way and lead us home to gather. Sa'Nashi is a vocal ensemble of young women in Mexico City under the direction of Roxana Mendoza, traveling to Vancouver for the first time. They are dedicated to the work of singing in some of Mexico's indigenous languages as they discover their shared and unique histories in a land brimming with ancient and deep cultures. We look forward to joining our satellites of song and strengthening our friendships.
Rhythm ‘n’ Roots choir is a joyful, adventurous and deeply curious musical venture. We perform a wide variety of music including traditional songs from around the world and contemporary original works by some of the most dynamic songwriters on the scene today. Our name speaks to our passion for rhythm and rootedness in our musical exploration.
Sa'Nashi strives to create a safe, trusting and expressive space that provides it's singers the opportunity to explore their voices freely and harmoniously. At the same time, the singers are committed to working as a team to bring high quality, vivacious and fresh music of various genres to life. Most of all, they want to express and spread their love of singing!
