About this Event
Three of the midwest’s most in-demand musicians come together in a new collaboration dedicated to their shared love of the American Songbook. Expect exquisite new arrangements of timeless classics from the greatest pens in American history, along with rediscovered treasures and even exploration of more recent gems that might contend for slots in this legendary anthology. Inspired by the great piano trios such as those of Ahmad Jamal or Bill Charlap, Songbook sports their own electric musical rapport and shared credits that include Branford Marsalis, Bob Mintzer, Judy Collins, Benny Benack III, Alan Broadbent, Sinne Eeg, Richard Johnson, Andrew Walesch, and The Juilliard School, among many others. The band will feature a special guest vocalist each show, starting with the dynamic musical force that is Aby Wolf. Don’t miss this celebration of a uniquely American phenomenon that has brought people together around the world.
